Club Deportivo Tenerife, commonly known as Tenerife, is a professional football team based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the largest city on the Canary Island of Tenerife, Spain. Founded in 1922, the club plays its home matches at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López, which has a capacity of approximately 23,000 spectators. Tenerife has spent numerous seasons in La Liga, Spain's top division, although it has primarily competed in the Segunda División in recent years.
