Sutton United Football Club, founded in 1898, is a professional football team based in Sutton, Greater London, England. The club plays its home matches at the VBS Community Stadium, with a capacity of around 5,000. Traditionally known as "The U's," Sutton enjoyed success in lower leagues and gained prominence in the 2016-17 season by winning the National League and securing promotion to the English Football League (EFL) for the first time in their history.
